In the upper grades, we finished learning about the Jewish faith and especially about some of the special things they celebrate in remembrance of different things that have happened in the past. One is the Passover and Challah bread. We learned what the symbolic meaning of Challah bread meant and then we got to try our own hands at making our own Challah bread. In the lower grades, we had some fun making different pictures with paper!
We had the pleasure of hosting some IA students. They came to share picture books that they had created in their English class. We got to listen to them read their books to us, ask questions, and to look and see a future project we could be working on when we get to IA! WE got the chance to come to school dressed up as something we aspire to be in the future! Take a look at the fun things we came dressed as! In Science we have been learning about electromagnetic waves and all that goes with it! We got the chance today to make a wave machine to see how waves carry energy with amplitude, wavelength and frequency! The kindergartners have been reading a book where pancakes was a central theme, so they got to make pancakes in the kitchen! These are just some fun things that have been happening in our K-4 room recently! Mrs. Adam's class took a fun trip to a ceramics place in Noblesville. Every student got to choose a piece to paint and then it would be fired in the kiln for each of them, so that they would then a have a memorable piece keep! Every other year, the upper grades get the wonderful opportunity to spend a week in Florida doing a full week of biology! We get to interact with biologists, learn about different ecosystems and just learn about the many things that make up our world! God is amazing and as my students pointed out, there is just no way not to believe that God is not in control and that all these amazing, wonderful things could have just existed; that there is indeed a loving and awesome Creator that we get to serve! We had such fun as the Indiana Academy gymnastic's team visited us all day! They spent time with us; teaching how to do different gymnastics moves! At the end of our day together, they put on a whole routine for us to watch! We had a great day! Thank you IA!
The 5th-8th grade class had a science lab where they were testing different lighbulbs to see which one uses more energy by taking the temperature of different light bulbs at different time intervals with a thermometer. They recorded and graphed their results before comparing!
